OT about the European dominance of the world

Limtex, the Europeans are about 25% as militaristic as the Americans. European aircraft carriers sailing in Asia "to protect vital European interests" - will not happen.

Also we are a sissy, disunited, rowdy and impotent bunch when it comes to getting act together on foreign issues (but we still have 98% of the French maids in the world so we are doing OK). A good example of this was that the Americans had to take initiative on former Yugoslavian issues.

Another point to remember is that the French are only a small part of Europe - there are twice as many German speakers than French speakers in the EU, for example. And then there are like a dozen other nationalities. On top of this try to imagine how difficult it would be to get the Italians to agree between themselves on some decisive action of some sort. Then you start to get the picture of the prospects of the European world dominance.
