Of course, what follows is my *personal* opinion -- and to be frank, common sense should suffice to see this; you don't need to be privy to the gods to come to the same conclusions.

Because you can also hook another monitor to it? OTOH, many people I know will be dying for one of these screens (esp. with the colour calibration facilities on it), even at a premium -- esp. in the target markets.

I don't expect spreadsheet users to bother, though ;), unless in environments where you want to cram 50 users in a room (e.g. the financial community).

I wonder what all these high-end $3.5K gfx-board makers are thinking (from 3DLabs to Intergraph to HP to E&S)...mind you, that's for the gfx cards alone ;).
