Company Profile

PRIMUS is structured as a U. S. based holding company incorporated in Delaware and with its headquarters in McLean, Virginia. It has subsidiaries and operating divisions in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and Mexico.

Each division operates as a separate profit/loss center. All sales, marketing, and operating functions are managed locally. The design and engineering of the international backbone network, and global branding of products and services are managed centrally.

PRIMUS has four wholly owned subsidiaries:

PRIMUS Telecommunications, Inc. in the U.S.
Axicorp Pty., Ltd. in Australia
PRIMUS Telecommunications, Ltd. in the United Kingdom, and
PRIMUS Telecommunications de Mexico, S.A. de C.V. in Mexico

PRIMUS operates as a facilities-based carrier, operating and expanding its own intelligent global network consisting of digital gateway switches in each of the four countries. The gateway switches are interconnected by fiber facilities, and are also connected in each country to the domestic networks of other primary and long distance carriers.

In an increasingly global economy, international telecommunications services is the fastest growing and most profitable segment of the rapidly expanding long distance telecommunications market. Many countries around the world have or are implementing plans to deregulate their telecommunications markets. As a result, new business opportunities are emerging that are comparable to early deregulation in the U. S. market, which propelled companies like MCI and Sprint into multibillion dollar businesses. PRIMUS's management team has a unique blend of knowledge and exprience in international telecommunications required to grow a successful global telecommunications company.

PRIMUS offers a broad range of domestic and international long-distance services to its rapidly growing customer base. The service portfolio includes:

Basic Direct-Dial Telephone Services;
Operator-Assisted Telephone Services including
third party,
collect,
calling card or
prepaid call cards;
800 "Toll-Free" Services;
Domestic and International Private Lines (or Networks)
for Voice/Data/Video Applications; and
Value-Added Data Services.

PRIMUS competes in the marketplace by offering price savings over the price leader in a given market. It also has an additional competitive edge by offering the added benefit of customized billing, superior customer service, superior sales and technical support in international communications, and overseas presence as a recognized carrier in Mexico, Australia, and the United Kingdom.
