Phil, actually I agree with you. You said " I guess we just look at things differently ". That isn't all bad. One may look at a glass and say it is halve empty, while another claims it is halve full. Both are correct, yet have different views of what they see. You dwell in negatives and the past, and I look to the future. The past dictates today's stock price, the future will dictate tomorrow's.
Actually I was talking about Microsoft's NetMeeting and not Intel. Last night I spent several hours in-house testing it on two different machines. In all cases, I felt as if the connection sound was very "robotic"and artificial. I actually once thought that I selected a sound effects feature by mistake, like the one's offered in DigiPhone's Deluxe version. To test the quality of the internet connection itself, I closed NetMeeting and opened DigiPhone, while keeping the same internet connection on both machines. I did this numerous times, so that I could compare NetMeeting to DigiPhone under all of the same conditions. (Same machines, same internet connections, same sound cards, etc., ) Phil, there was NO COMPARISON!! DigiPhone, under the exact conditions surpassed Microsoft's audio quality. I also tried, and successfully connected with another logged on user and the results were the same. The robotic artificial sound really became quite annoying. If this is the competition, I'm really not too worried! I can't wait to hear the further improvement when DigiPhone releases their version with the Lucent voice codec!
For the record, I did find Microsoft's white board feature pretty neat.
