Ariella, Joe Kernan nor the Wall Street Journal mention AWEB. Reports from users say the products are overpriced and no one is attending the auctions. There is an enourmous difference between a company like AMZN and AWEB. As previously stated, this is a NON REPORTING bulletin board company. Unlike those most often mentioned, this will not show up in any mutual fund portfolios, institutional investors nor will it be recommended by any brokerage firms. As a result what you have here is a spike indeed. Please note that a spike has two sides, an up and a down. BB stocks spike all the time. In virtually every case, those who ran into the market late in the spike (like after a 1000% gain) end up holding the bag. You are right, you are grown ups and its your money. There are also two sides to every story and the other side needs to be told here. People may actually believe all the hype as being the truth and we wouldn't want that would we.
