People of this board, I just want to let you read this posting regarding how bad a situation supposedly IBM is in and I would also like to hear your thoughts as to this person's rumour that IBM is planning to sell off their RS/6000 division.

For those with a lot of IBM stock and a weak heart - you may not like reading this following post.

One quote you might take note of...

What market is this? One that does not include HP apparently. BTW I have it from a pretty reliable source that IBM is going to phase out AIX as soon as they can manage a replacement, they have determined that it will not get critical mass in the developer community and that they would do better to get behind another Unix, probably Solaris. Just a rumor???

I have already responded to him as follows, but hey maybe I'm completely wrong - yeah right.

This whole debate about IBM on the MSFT board came when on the weekend a Pro-MSFTer predicted that MSFT would eventually destroy ORCL and IBM in their quest to dominate the entire industry. I had to respond to that.

Enjoy having your blood boil on this one folks.
