Tim: Unless the MCI birds have a different coverage pattern, then the deal with Telstar 5 should stay the same. It is designed to cover those far-off points like Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, etc. and not the CONUS. I think this service is up and running. By the way, this deal squelches any talk of AT&T getting into the DBS biz via TCI/Primestar and using 110. It would also spell well for KaStar, which is founded by an ex-Echostar manager. One of their sats will be located at 109.2. I need to spend some time on this deal, but at first glance, I like it.
