Research prototype I read about (at MIT? I forget): they had developed a working (10,000 rpm) micromachined gas turbine the size of a shirt button! Idea was to couple it to a similarly sized electric generator. I think they were talking about 10W output. Working toward further realization. Blew my mind. Possibilities included powering mobile devices. George
