Rudedog, Thanks for your insight. You are old big iron veteran like me, though your 1401 experience beats me by about 5 years. The RS6000 is seen as a poor machine outside of the IBM controlled accounts. Everyone knows that except those behind the curtain. I have no inside information, but I can easily imagine IBM cutting its (opportunity) losses on the RS very soon.
