Recall, please, that Books A Million has been in business since 1917, is turning a profit, and now has the whole world as potential customers, not just the people who buy within its 17 state bricks & mortar sales area. Could well take away some of Amazon's customers.
As mentioned several times on this Board, company is family-controlled.
Would think owner/managers don't have to scramble to please stockholders nearly as much as does a management which has relatively small equity in company.
