Toy - Now if Rudedog were a senior manager at IBM in NY then I will bow to his predictions How about close involvement with the (former) RS6000 team in Austin? Any thoughts as to why IBM shut down that group and cancelled many of the programs? That's not ancient history... And as far as the roadmaps, IBM certainly plans to grow the RS6000 business if they can. AIX is a millstone. Read my post. Maybe you can go back and take another look at that roadmap presentation and see what hints might have been dropped about OS direction, as opposed to product development.
