John:
This is a true story. I had a very good friend whose wife was having an affair. Not knowing what to do I met with another friend that was also privy to this information. We both decided to pray and ask the Lord to stop this affair without our friend EVER finding out. We simply did not want to see our friend get hurt. This happened many months ago and as far as we know this man's wife saw the error of her ways and stopped having the affair and they are very happy now. Our friend never did find out.! Thank God.

So this episode convinces me that while sin will eventually find a way to be announced from the rooftops that is not necessarily God's will. He would rather we ask for forgiveness and repent and sweep the evidence under the rug while there is still time. Even in the bible the "scapegoat" was practiced in the OT and in the NT we become the scapegoat, escaping death and an eternal Hell by the hair of our chinney chin chins. In Christ..gregor.
