Richard re margin requirements.

I heard that on CNBC also. It sounded like it was idle speculation and rumor as far as the Fed doing it. They did however mention that one of the internet brokers may make it more difficult or impossible to margin a bunch of stocks using criteria that would end up including high flying speculative stocks which were mainly internet stocks. A question was raised that if one firm would be able to take unilateral action which might just send their customers elsewhere or if others might adopt it also. It didn't sound to me like any official action was taken by anyone yet but I wasn't paying close attention when the story was on. Personally I think the faster they can get some of this casino action out of the market the better but I think the recent acceleration of the internet craze has brought a big boost of revenue to the deepest discount internet brokers and I don't know how anxious they will be to lose that
