Disable anything (all interrupts, IRQ3, IRQ4, etc.
I mean ALL) that can wake up your PC. Set the timer
to 1 min. Now boot your NT. Wait one min. See if
your monitor will power down.

If Windows 98 can power down your monitor, there is
no reason your motherboard cannot do this. It's just
a simple VESA command sent to the video card.

If you still cannot power down the monitor, post all
parameters on the Power Management page here. I'll
take a look. BTW, are you using AMI or Award BIOS?
