> DDR for servers. About a year ago I read some articles on RDRAM that voice concerns about using it for servers. The point is because RDRAM runs at a very high frequency, the length of the bus is limited, which means limited memory slots. Server on the other hand requires large amount of memory, Xeon platform that Intel have released right now have 16 slot on each memory board. So SGI may have their reasons. I do not know if this restriction has been fixed or not. Tim Just my 0.02$
