Scott, It's great to hear a detailed and technical explanation of this problem. For those of us day trading NASDAQ well before the Internet craze, this new wall is very difficult to understand (and compensate for). The MMs are succeeding in driving many traders into EDT firms and that often is NOT the best choice for certain trading styles. For me personally, I think most of the EDT firms are a year or two away from the level of dependability I need from them. In the meantime, I've extended my holding period from 1-15 min to 5hr-couple days, reduced my order sizes to come in under the radar when possible and trade NYSE a heck of a lot more than I have the last 3-5 years. Looking forward to the convergence of discounters and EDT firms which is likely to solve the issue sooner or later. Good to see you too, dog. Alan
