''We're at the leading edge of distributing a product which will revitalize and rekindle the sports and entertainment trading card market, and the possibilities are endless. It will make a major contribution to our database marketing and auction activities.''
The Micra SoundCard can be produced as a stand-alone. However, the version Bid.Com will be selling is used in a player about half the thickness of a pack of cigarettes, with a uniquely designed speaker system that offers clear sound. The card and player combination will retail for about US$15, with additional cards costing approximately US$5.
''We have selected this version based on its premier sound quality and overall user appeal,'' added Lymburner. Bid.Com will be offering cards for sale which highlight historic major league sporting and entertainment events.
