Bid.Com International Inc. - New
Generation Of Trading Cards To Go
Global Through Bid.Com Distribution
Agreement

TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 30, 1998--Bid.Com International (TSE:BII. - news)

-- Talking Trading Cards from Micra take to the Internet with Bid.Com --

The ubiquitous trading card, such as the sports cards you played with as a child, will be going global
on the Internet when Bid.Com International Inc., one of North America's leading online auctions,
introduces the audio trading card to its auction and e-commerce site through an exclusive three-year,
worldwide Internet distribution agreement with Micra SoundCards of Richmond Hill.

Micra SoundCards has invented, patented and produced the world's most versatile talking trading
card, which closely resembles the kind found at the neighborhood convenience store. The major
difference is that the 2 mm-thick card has digital sound imbedded into it and is capable of playing the
actual sound of a sports or entertainment event, including the voices of high profile sports and
entertainment figures.

''We're thrilled to be an integral part of this launch and we believe our distribution agreement with
Micra gives us a real competitive advantage in the online e-commerce arena,'' said Jeff Lymburner,
President of Bid.Com International. ''We're at the leading edge of distributing a product which will
revitalize and rekindle the sports and entertainment trading card market, and the possibilities are
endless. It will make a major contribution to our database marketing and auction activities.''

The Micra SoundCard can be produced as a stand-alone. However, the version Bid.Com will be
selling is used in a player about half the thickness of a pack of cigarettes, with a uniquely designed
speaker system that offers clear sound. The card and player combination will retail for about US$15,
with additional cards costing approximately US$5.

''We have selected this version based on its premier sound quality and overall user appeal,'' added
Lymburner. Bid.Com will be offering cards for sale which highlight historic major league sporting and
entertainment events.
