Rants 2 - "The tirade continues" A few More random thoughts: Risk of a Centralized Point of Control. While focusing all of your error messages in one box may be convenient as a means of control, are you taking a risk as a data center manager? What if the VCC is a piece of shit or it has a bug? Could you simultaneously loose control of your entire network or at least the error reporting? No one has ever addressed this publicly. Could this be its Achilles heal ? Other Efforts What ever happened to this other company (Board Manufacturer) that the company purchased. At the time of purchase, it was suggested that this unit had uses internally as well as a source of revenues from outside customers. What happened? I don't think they were even mentioned at the last meeting. What do they do? What have their operating results been? Why has the company suddenly begun to sell several other products? These products seem to be scaled down version of the VCC. Are we cannibalizing the marker? How many projects can a company of this size take on b4 they become distracted. Should they concentrating on making the VCC be a success and use the capital generated in its success to diversify into other areas?
