Shorters on MIFGY

Marketguide.com lists the short interest as of Nov 9 at 313,000 shares, or 2.073% of float. I've never invested in a company with american depository shares, so I don't know if that number only refers to US shorts or all shorts, or how buying pressure on the US shares affects the UK shares. Even so, it doesn't seem like there would really be tons shorts with the stock down so low.

Could you enlighten me?
