I guess you are trying to make some sort of point here...that by virture of Michael Dell (and others) selling some of their shares....that this is some sort of indication that they don't care about (other) individual shareholders...
Sorry, I dont think so...Anyone who has so much of their net worth tied up into one company (regardless if it is his own) SHOULD diversify....Bill Gates did it, Paul Allen did it, Larry Ellison did it......so now that Michael Dell is doing what all other multi-millionaires, multi-billionaires have done before him.....he is, somehow, being selfish?...Give me a break...for the rest of his life, he will have an inordinate amount of his net worth tied up in Dell's stock, come good or bad...
I hardly think guys/girls worth $11 billion care if they are really worth 8/9/10/ or 11 billion..their pride is more important (at this point)...he has more wealth then he will ever spend....If they were only in it for the money, they would never attain such wealth (paradoxical, but true...this should not be a problem (to understand) for someone named "Voltaire")
I could go on, but I don't think you have done your homework on Michael Dell...he is one impressive guy (as a person)...I (and many others) have heard this from so many different (credible) sources it's unreal...
Even disregarding this, Mikey does care about his gleeclub...and will continue to do so......because its in his best interest to...and this will always be the case as long as the company bears his name...
With all due respect, I think you are off-track here....
Rest well. |
