Does anybody remember if Dessauer ever mentioned that Angelo Mozillo, the CEO of CCR, is Vice Chair and CEO of IndyMac? I find it strange that with all of the discussion of CCR (one of my winners) and NDE, that I don't recall JD ever mentioning the connection and, assuming there is one, telling us WHAT the connection is between CCR and NDE.
Maybe I just missed it.
"We are disappointed that IndyMac is likely to incur a loss for the first time in its 13-year history, and following 21 consecutive quarters of rising earnings (excluding the non-recurring charge related to the buyout of IndyMac's manager, Countrywide Asset Management Corp., which occurred in the third quarter of 1997)," stated Perry.
"However, it is important to note that these events result from unprecedented market volatility and disruption in the finance sector; with that said, the markets appear to be easing somewhat, and we plan to move forward with confidence, just as we did in 1993 when we began to build this company from a base of five employees," continued Perry.
"The senior management team at IndyMac, including myself, our Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Angelo Mozilo and our President, Mike Perry, remain positive about our company and its businesses," stated David Loeb, IndyMac's chairman. "We are taking the actions we need to take to build a solid foundation for 1999 and beyond." |
