WebMD, Atlanta -- Jay P. Gilbertson, who last month stepped down unexpectedly as
co-president and co-chief operating officer of HBO & Co., has landed at WebMD as
president and chief operating officer. Mr. Gilbertson, 38 years old, was named to WebMD's
board in August after HBO, a health-care information company, made a $10 million
investment in the startup venture. Closely held WebMD uses the Internet to deliver medical
information and services to physicians, hospitals, third-party payers and consumers. Mr.
Gilbertson will retain his board seat, and HBO will appoint a new representative, according
to WebMD. |
