One obvious possibility involved reports, which began circulating on the Internet last week, that the U.S. Federal Reserve was considering selectively raising margin rates on Internet stocks to cool off speculation in the sector. Such a selective targeting of stocks by the Fed would seem to have no precedent, but simply permitting such rumors to circulate may have been enough to bring about the desired effect. Keep shorting, and I'll keep riding the waves. One of us will still be smiling come retirement time. p.s. I'm getting ready to jump into the search engines again. I'll look you up when I'm ready. good luck and trade wisely.
