There's also the variance of the 10-day moving average from the 50-day moving average. 10% or above is a yellow flag.

Almost all of the major averages hit the upper band on the 28-period moving average envelopes last week on both the weekly and daily charts. The Dow had room till about 9500-9600. The two moving average bands are centered at 8900 for the daily and 8600 for the weekly, respectively. For the Nasdaq, the targets would be 1860 and 1790, respectively.

Both the 21-period Stochastic and the 14-period Wilder RSI took a big drop below their signal lines yesterday.
