DOWNERS GROVE, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 1, 1998--Platinum Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ: PTET.O) today announced an astronomical increase in the number of visitors to its new retail Web site. Company officials said more than 1.5 million people visited platinumcd.com in November, compared to 13,500 people in October, the site's first month of operation. "The most significant aspect of this traffic increase is that it was achieved without spending anything on Web advertising," said Steve Devick, Platinum president and CEO.
