News.. It's fast!! Galaxy Enterprises Inc., Announces Completion of Powerful, New Search Engine
OREM, Utah--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 1, 1998--Galaxy Enterprises Inc., (OTC BB: GLXY) an industry leading web presence provider, announced Tuesday the completion of successful testing of the company's search engine - MatchSite (http://www.matchsite.com).
The search engine allows Internet users to browse the Web, and find sites of interest, similar to other popular search engines like Yahoo (Nasdaq:YHOO - news), Excite (Nasdaq: XCIT - news), AltaVista, Infoseek (Nasdaq:SEEK - news), and other Internet portals.
MatchSite is unique and stands out from other search engines because of its distinctive efforts of combining the leading, major, search engines to assist users in finding the information they want. When a user types in a search request, MatchSite sends the query to several different resources. The responses are then returned to the user organized into a uniform format, and ranked by relevance.
Galaxy's Chief Executive Officer and President, John J. Poelman said, ''MatchSite has many useful features which other search services either do not have or are unable to provide. Because the Internet is dynamic and changes so quickly with hundreds of new sites being added daily, no one search engine can hope to keep up.
''By utilizing many resources, MatchSite's potential for finding information is much greater. We are excited about the debut of MatchSite, and feel that it will become a valued asset to Internet users.''
