Hi,

I could find only 3 analysts that care to predict QCOM's
1998 earnings...

The earnings estimates are $1.55, $2.00 and $2.36
Which means 9/98 QCOM could be (assuming 30X trailing P/E, conservative) $46.5 , $60 or $70....

Boy, what a range...

But, ofcourse this would be a very conservative estimate since
from past history we can see that QCOM has always been valued by looking at future P/Es and not trailing P/E.

Yet, I cannot understand why such a big diffirence exits in the analysts predictions?

P.s: Heres something for the dreamers....
Assuming QCOM maintains the same rate of growth
Then it would be wise to assume it may maintain the same
trailing P/E ratio that it now has : 150X P/E

Well, in that case assuming an earnings of $2.00 (median prediction)in 1998, the stock would then be at $300... :-)

Well One can always dream.....
