If the following is correct, the partial news that was reported is a joke. Ha ha! I'm laughing. Let's mislead everyone! What is in question is not apparently related to the question of approval for most uses, only that the drug wouldn't be used for severe pain such as that after surgery. No kidding! Give me the Vicodin! (from the news) The second question, however, notes that the FDA doesn't think there's enough evidence yet to support approval specifically for ''acute pain,'' or the immediate treatment of pain such as that following surgery. The question asks whether the panel agrees.
