Steve, You have it right. Infection mounts an antibody response...test measures yes or no. Problem is when bugs are killed by antibiotics...the antibodies don't just go back to zero....so if you test after successful tx...test says yes, still infected. OK? Therefore, the quick tests are only good for answering and screening if pt is infected or has ever been infected. So, to define cure...you have to do breath test or biopsy. Best, Greg
