Valid points that you have raised. Unfortunately, I have not been as active in updating my opinion on my stocks. AXYS does deserve an update and more attention. The stock is in an industry that is going through a slowdown based on the fact that the largest customers are in the printing and electronic business. These areas are very sluggish right now. In addition, because AXYS is a small stock, the company valuation does not reflect the company's growth potential. Without any new sponsorship or an increasing demand in small stocks, shares of AXYS are likely going to remain in the mid teens. In regards to the recent $15 per share offer, I think its low if the company can meet analyst expectations. Obviously, AXYS has had trouble meeting the Street's earnings pojections. This would lead me to believe that $15 per share may be a justified price based on the company recent uncertain performance. The stock now has a lid on it at $15 per share. Even though AXYS has more potential, I would probably go for the $15 per share purchase price.
