Jim, the following is a "cut and paste" from a thread at StockHouse.

Surprise! E*trade sends out Email on how they have listened and lowered their commission. They did, a whole $1.88 for under $3500 gross trades. The @*%#s also raised the rates for any trade over $3500 for stocks between $1 - $5 by anywhere from 50%-200%. Didn't notice that part in their Email - LOL - did they think no one would notice? Who said there was no inflation?
