El; Watch out for the Haiitian rum. I brought some from Haitti for my house-warming party in Montreal. One of my guests poured his into the tub of my very large expensive rubber tree, when I was out of the room: it's leaves turned brown, its trunk rotted and it died an 'orrible death. Bleedin' shame it wos.

The truth emerged when I had the soil analysed in the laboratory of a plant doctor who had originally said the plant died as a result of my verbal abuse.
