IOmega. Now there was a stock. Also Coms, although its coming back. And wasnt there one, Cascade or something about a year and a half ago that fell from the 70's to the teens. And Western Digital (I got hurt in that one).
Yes, those are good rules, especially take profits (except maybe in a long long term hold like DELL or MICROSOFT is for me) and dont let losses run. I've learned hard lessons on those two.
Do you sell when a stock gaps up and buy when it gaps down " too much" on insignificant "bad" news like earnings off 1C or something like that?
