Good trades 5$ & welcome to the thread.

I was not so lucky today. I am a very stringent "stop limit trader. I will accept minimal loss. Today was an example of when things don't work! I had a tight stop. At 0900 the bid/ask was 4.50/4.50 so I was not worried (even though early) shortly after that SW shutdown(0915). For me to get three displays back up with all the windows ready for the morning takes me about 10 minutes. During that time it appears BII was tanking on the open!! I was unaware as I was still working the computer. At 0935 I found out the stock had opened at $3.80 .50c below my stop!! The stop was activated and I sold at $3.80

Lesson learned.

If you can't track a stock on open..call your broker for opening and either remove your stop or accept the sale!! iw ould have never sold for $3.80 under any circumstances. To add insult to injury, the stock then recovered to $4.50+.... I attempted earlier to get in...but by that time I was "out of sync" with the stocks gyrations. Finally after losing my feed from SW and becoming increasingly suspicious that the feed when alive was unreliable I sold my second buy for a "commission loss"!!

All n all a very frustrating day..when there was money to be made.

So what started all of this.....well very simple. I heard there was going to be a newsrelease at 3:45 and placed a quick buy order. Steelguy called it right, it was better to be out looking in last night!!! So I ended up scramblin this AM. Not because of misfortune or the calamity of errors that followed this AM but the "wrong decision last night"!!

Such is life!!!!

A superb day Friday and absolutely "off the map " profit day Monday...followed by a mini-disaster today!!! All in a days trading my friends!!

I shutdown early today because of all the above! I'll have my trading hat on tomorrow!!

Well done to all that made today a profit day...and for the others........there's always tomorrow!!!!
