What's your take on Kaplan's comments today?
" The
short-term lease rate for gold has moved up sharply in recent days, climbing from 0.5% last Friday to
1.2% Tuesday. Meanwhile, the total open interest for COMEX gold futures is at an unusually low
historic level, indicating an unwillingness by participants to take either side of the market. "

Also, decisionpoint has new lines for the xau.http://decisionpoint.com/DailyCharts/XAU.html

My point on the xau options:
XAU close to 70 today and the June 90 calls are 7 1/8 by 7 5/8 the 50 puts are 3 1/4 ask. I don't know who initiates the quotes, but I am assuming the quotemaker views the danger more to the upside....??? If you are right, a pile could be made by selling the 90 short and buying the 50s for a total outflow of 3/8 plus commissions on 2 for 1. If xau hits 50 between now and June, you could just about retire on a 5k investment.
