Good to see there are many of us who resonate with the social effects of the economic crisis in Asia, regardless of the causes and who is to blame. I posted the articles because I can absolutely relate to these people (please refer to my email). The article on the Kim family was particularly well written, and strikes a chord with the average American middle class family because we can relate to them.

It is interesting to note that in his recent visit to Korea, President Clinton hailed Korea as the model of economic recovery. We should not forget that there is a huge human cost side, shouldered largely by millions of families who are but pawns in the global endeavour towards a better lifestyle. Most of these people have no idea what has hit them, let alone why.
