Steven is right -- a stinging rebuke is the proper response when you hear "architected". The fact is that there is no such verb as "to architect" -- at least, not yet.
Of course, it is very easy to transform nouns into verbs, and vice versa, because they have no distinctive grammatical endings in English. We have scores of words that have long functioned as both nouns and verbs (dig, jump, run, walk, etc.), and certainly many more will ultimately be pressed into double service.
If it makes you feel better, you can always add -ize to architect, to make it sound more like a "real" verb. How does "architectized" or simply "architized" grab you?
Please, no squishy tomatoes! No rotten eggs, please! Eeeuuw.....
