Speaking of Yardeni, he recommends that individual investors keep only 20% of their money in stocks next year. He also recommends underweighting some sectors (e.g., energy), and overweighting others (e.g., computers). So maybe we can hang on to Compaq... As for Y2K, don't dismiss Mr. Yardeni out of hand, folks. Quite a few top software professionals (most notably, Y2K project managers) seem to be having the whim-whams about our general unpreparedness... Stock up on toilet paper, at least. jbe
