i bought a few leaps in oct and nov. what i wanted to know is can i hold them up to jan 2000 or if they go to high(in the money) will they make me sell or buy the shares. I'm assuming these are LEAPS calls you bought. Yes, you can hold the calls up until the 3rd friday in Jan 2000. It's your choice. And, you have the RIGHT to buy the shares up until then but never the OBLIGATION to buy them.
