Hello Mr. Mohan....I ran across this little summary today of a buy recommendation on DELL..I don't know if it's been posted yet, but I will re-post if it has:
****************************************** Dell Computer Corp. Recommended Minimum Holding Period: 5 Years (Nasdaq: DELL) The reason behind this choice is quite simple: Dell makes the best computers in the world. I know this from magazine reviews, the opinions of various "gamers" and "technogeeks," and my own experiences with different computers. It seems that the rest of the world is catching on as well. In the last few years, DELL has grown earnings at an clip of over 80%, and from out of nowhere has claimed 29% of the corporate PC market and 14% of the overall PC market. While these numbers are great, it still leaves a ton of potential market share up for grabs. By 2003, I think that those numbers could be 70% and 40% respectively. The reason I kept my minimum holding period to only 5 years is that once Dell becomes the Cisco of the PC world, there will be a slowdown in their growth, barring another major technological breakthrough such as the Internet. Once this slowdown occurs, I'm sure there will be other tech companies out there with better growth prospects. Until then, profit from what will most likely go down as one of the greatest corporate success stories in American history. *********************************************** Regards, George |
