"(Are we all talking about IE 4.0?)"

Boy, you guys really come up with some weird problems.

FWIW, yes, I'm using MSIE 4.0 with Win95 and I have never had any problem of any kind with an auto hide Windows task bar and/or minimze all.

Have you tried moving the task bar to another side (or top or bottom) of your screen? Shouldn't matter, but you never can tell. That's weird, those would be very annoying problems.

CyberGuy, have you tried running the Resource Meter (different than the system monitor)? Try that, if your resources are in the green (>~25%), then that's not your problem.

You don't just have a box mischecked somewhere, do you (like connect thru a proxy server under view-internet options)? Or right click on your ISP under Dial Up Networking, check Properties, see what's checked under Server Types.
