I think it's YOU and ROBERT CHEN who are confused - Yousef had it exactly right.

The "Right Hand Rule" specifies that you extend your thumb in the direction of interest - in this case along the "screw" in the direction of the "pointed" end.

Closing the "hand", with the thumb so extended curls the fingers in the appropriate direction for "screwing in a normal screw".
