Hi everyone:
You've got to admit it, the reality of the battle is starting to hit home. The initial exuberant from the team spirit before the battle was contagious. It was until the first bomb exploded and bullets tore through heavy armor that the reality of the battle is realized. OK, guys, let's face it, if we are all man/woman enough to sign up for the OTC-BB battlefield, we should be man/woman enough to face the bombs and bullets that flew our way. Yes, these bullets are real. Casualty can and will happen if you are not careful. On the other hand, the chance of capturing the territory and owning the land is also very real. But the price has to be paid!
Now in regard to ztect's post, If you do a little dd, you will find that it is the real ztect who wrote the post. If you click on his name on one of his post, you will see his profile has the same email address as listed on post # 6071 by TOPFUEL. Also noticed how many posts he had made in November 30, 1998. Ztect had kicked himself out of SI from overposting!
Why the change of heart as some people are suspecting. Well, it is better for me to use an analogy to tell you the way I see it. Imagine an over-excited platoon blinded with confidence walking into a 'potential' minefield. Ztect, being a lieutenant (let's give him that title for the sake of the discussion) was screaming off the top of his lungs from far away with an injured leg "Get off the minefield!!! Get off the minefield!!!" Unfortunately, nobody heard a thing due to the bombing and airplanes noises zooming all over the place. Desperately trying to save the platoon, Ztect grabbed at everyone that ran by him to pass the message to the platoon…
Meanwhile, as the platoon was walking toward the 'purported' minefield, the soldiers were playing a game of guessing. "Guess how many miles of land from the beach we will capture by the end of the week?" asked Billy. "5 miles!" said one. "2.75 miles!" shouted another one. "1.65 miles" one volunteered despite some sour look from others. This guessing continued on as Billy tallied up the number on his little black book.
As the game of guessing was continuing, bombs were exploding nearby and bullets were flying pretty close to home. Suddenly one soldier from another platoon came by and dropped off a note to Billy. Upon finding out what the note was all about, the soldier who dropped off the note was told to 'get lost cause we ain't walking into no minefield'.
Well, I guess this short story pretty summed up my opinion of the incident for the day. Do I agree with Ztect? Yes and No.
I agree that the webtool still has room to improve. That the data still needed to be updated. However, without talking to Glenn about this, I suspected the reason for this oversight has to do with the fact that the Pronetlink webtool is still sitting on Proxicomm's server. While Proxicomm is no longer doing any programming work for PNL, it is still hosting the webtool in their server. If you log on to the PNL webtool, you will see the word Proxicomm appearing in the downloading sequence. This is my deduction from what I saw. Glenn, if I am wrong, please correct me.
My speculation for the lack of classified ADs showing up at the webtool is that most subscribers from foreign countries don't know how to use it. Their language barrier may be the problem. Their subscribing to the webtool may have to do with using only the form compliance section for now.
What I don't agree with Ztect has to do with the subject of faith and believing. If we don't have faith in the company, none of us will still be here chatting away in the thread. And that included Ztect himself. It is because of our faith and believing that we hold tight to our investment despite lack of information. Perhaps Ztect is referring to blind faith? I do not believe this is what we are dealing with yet. What we are dealing with is incomplete information. That means there is no substantial fact that can refute the concept of PNL nor is there any substantial fact to totally support it. But what we have is a battle plan that is supported by some of the well-known generals and commanders. Yes, the battle has not been won yet but we are still fighting it. We are NOT losing the battle YET. But in order for the soldiers to have the spirit and courage to stay and fight another day, faith and believing in the battle plan is crucial!
But I will give Ztect credit for warning the platoon not to elevate faith to the point of neglecting the reality of the battle. Until the battle is won, we still have to watch our back and take each step with keen eyes for potential dangerous.
In referring to Ztect's discussion of selling at 3.50 and buy back at 1.50. I believe he was simply referring to the spike up in price from the hype instead of fundamental such as news and number. In another word, if the pump and dump is working the game, why not join it instead of fighting it.
OK guys, I know this is quite a long post, but we just landed at the beach. It is going to take awhile before the battle is declared win or loss. Even WWII did not win in a week after D-day invasion.
Prosperity to ALL!
