Gary, The internet, software, semiconductors, all sorts, is a smorgasbord of investors paradise. We need lots of internet capacity too so that is a safe place to invest. What use is everyone jabbering away on mobile phones and portable computers if the infrastructure isn't there to carry their data?
Regarding your reasons:

1 Fair enough. It makes me want to go too. It is just NZ capital gains tax laws and continuing hope with some evidence of real progress that keeps me on. If successful, and I see no real reason why not, then there are real prospects for major profit. After success is established, the share price will have already increased. Profits to the patient, fearless and right.
2 I still can't see any disaster, or even minor problem with profit result. In fact it pleases me a little that people reacted as they did, because it means I'm operating with a different set of measuring sticks for Qcom than others are. It gives me buying opportunity when sudden crashes which don't register on my measuring sticks happen. I had thought they were deliberately keeping profits growing just a bit each quarter to keep those who measure such things happy. But apparently not, or they misjudged it.
3 What is IE? I thought you uninstalled MSFT email? Did you try to boost Qcom price before selling? The more competition, the harder for Eudora to hold it, but they have some good marketing outlets and MSFT is still not the only kid on the block. Even without Eudora [a lucky break for Qualcomm], Qcom has a lot going for it.

Thanks for any infrastructure you build Gary. We are all going to need it! I saw in another thread a week or two ago that you were heading that way. Was it MSFT vs NSCP?

Bon chance! Drop in sometimes.
Maurice
