I believe XON uses cobalt and have gazillions of patents for GTL. The other play with cobalt is SYNM which may end up in a patent war with XON IMHO. The iron catalyst players are SASOL and RNTK. Iron is largely in public domain as SASOL has used it since WWII (I believe) and certainly since the 1950's. RNTK has also demonstrated GTL and recently licensed its technology to TX. SYNM has licensed to many oil companies but has yet to demonstrate its process. Other players are ATNY and SGII.
