BID.COM won the Canadian awards for this type of Internet play, they have the team!!. They've tied in with America Online,Rogers and others, they have laid down the foundation!!. They have their NAME well known across Canada (A BIG PLUS) and they've been testing out sales through their auction in the United States market and Canadian market with their web site. They have been invited on the NASDAQ,!! I would say we are 1 year behind the USA in this Internet game, so we can look into the future.!!! American companies in E-Commerce have jumped from a low value a few months ago and are now selling from Can$100 to over Can$300/sh. Sales in E-Commerce are forecast to be $18 billion this year and $1 trillion in 2003. So it looks like BID.COM is still lacking in a wide variety and a large volume of products for sale both in auction and retail. That part of the puzzle may be the easiest one. They've already covered the HARD PARTS. The part that's not covered, the wide variety of products ,is right in front of their eyes. All they have to do is check out the web sites of EBAY, ONSALE, EGGHEAD and UBID, etc. etc. and I'm sure that is what is being done. My problem is how are they going to get NASDAQ price standards, something that will benefit us all big time,!! when they've being knocked down by Canadian day traders, all the time????.
