MSFT doesn't have a database that can support large numbers of
users. Those deals go to Oracle,Informix and Sybase. PRGS
database gives them inroads into larger database opportunities
than SQL-Server - which is a toy in comparison.
I have no insight into whether this acquistion will ever happen
but it is a deal that makes sense for BOTH. MSFT gets cheap
growth. PRGS finally gets decent marketing. It's SPECULATIVE
but it makes sense.
