Cabletron Systems announced today that it has been selected as one of a handful of vendors named to give on-stage product demonstrations/technology presentations at Giga Information Group's "The Emerging Technology Scene: Giga's Showcase for IT Innovation" to be held December 7-9, 1998 in La Quinta-Palm Springs, California.
Cabletron was the sole networking vendor chosen to present by Giga senior analysts, who used a strict set of criteria to select the best competitive submissions. Other vendors participating in "The Emerging Technology Scene" include IBM, Sybase Inc., Oracle, GTE Internetworking, MCI WorldComm Advanced Networks and Compaq Computer.
Within the Giga conference, Cabletron will participate in TechnoVista IV, entitled "The Network of the Well-Connected Enterprise" to be held Tuesday, December 8th at 2pm. Cabletron will demonstrate its leading-edge Policy/QOS solutions for superior control of application, computing, and transport infrastructures. The networking leader will feature its SPECTRUM management and SmartSwitch Router capabilities.
