Dipy, The main thing the Republicans want to know is whether the letters written to Janet Reno by FBI Director Louis Freeh contain any evidence of additonal criminal acts. The FBI said back in 1996 that the Chinese Gover- nment was making attempts influence the elections. They warned several people inclu- ding Senators Feinstein and Boxer that they were the targets of illegal campaign contri- butions. Oddly, it seems the Whitehouse was very willing to accept money from this rather nefarious source. Johnny Chung has been granted immunity from prosecution in this matter as he was the middleman in the operation. He will testify before the House Judiciary Committee on his 42 visits to the Whitehouse, the money laundering operations, and possibly on what the Chinese military and government wanted in exchange for this money.
