Thanks for the post, Roland. But I really don't see that much benefit to the consumer from this news. ISDN lines today can handle voice calls. However, I believe the constraint is the reqt. that the user drop one of the B channels to allow the voice call connection.

ISND is a circuit-switched connection. The article seems to indicate the applications of DSLAMs to enable packet-to-circuit connections enabling ISDN line to function much like DSL when it comes to handling voice & data over the same line. This is good news for ISDN subscribers, but no big whoop.
